Honorable Dennis M. O’Brien

Miriam Enriquez, Esquire, director of legislation and policy for City Councilperson Dennis O’Brien reports that last week the Committee on Law and Government voted on the indigent counsel legislative package with a favorable recommendation.  The Councilperson plans to bring the legislative package for a vote before the full City Council on Thursday.

She stated that Councilperson O’Brien thanks the Bar Association for its support of the legislation.  She said that at each session, members of the public are allowed three minutes to address the full City Council.  The Council session begins around 10:15 a.m. and concludes about noon.  Public comment is heard midway through the session.
