The Senate returns to session on July 8 to vote on the Fiscal Code bill. The next scheduled Senate session is September 15. The House returns to session on September 15.
The General Assembly passed the 2014-2015 State budget on June 30 as required by the State Constitution. The Governor has until July 11 to approve the budget. The Governor is balking at signing the budget unless their is reform of public pensions. The Budget totals $29 billion. It increases spending for the Attorney General by $5 million and prisons by $20 million. Spending for the judiciary will be flat.
