The General Assembly has a deadline of June 30 to pass a budget.  The House and Senate are scheduled to meet as follows:

Public hearings

June 2– NEW. House Judiciary Committee meets to consider House Bill 954 (Rapp-R-Forest) further providing for the offense of selling “vaping” tobacco products to minors (sponsor summary), House Bill 1189 (Mullery-D-Luzerne) expanding the offense of use of tobacco and nicotine products in schools (sponsor summary). Room 205 Ryan Building. Off the Floor.

June 2– Senate Judiciary Committee  Senate Bill 751(Greenleaf-R-Montgomery) prohibit sale of electronic cigarettes to minors (sponsor summary).  Room 8E-B East Wing.11:30 a.m.

June 2– Senate Judiciary Committee considers the nomination of John Wetzel As Secretary of Corrections. Room 8E-B East Wing. 11:30 a.m.

June 3– Senate Law and Justice Committee considers the nomination of Colonel Marcus Brown as State Police Commissioner.  Hearing Room 1, North Office Building. 10 a.m.

Pennsylvania Commission on Sentencing

June 3-4– PA Commission on Sentencing meets for a hearing and policy discussion. PA Judicial Center, Harrisburg. (formal notice)
