Rape survivor child custody bill signed into law

Senate Bill 663 (Vulakovich-R-Allegheny) relating to rape survivor child custody (summary and House Fiscal Note).  The bill was signed into law as Act 40.

House

Anti-Phishing: House Bill 969 (Neuman-D-Washington) prohibiting certain acts of phishing (sponsor summary) was removed from the Table and is now on the House Calendar for action.

Traffic Court: Senate Bill 283 (Pileggi-R-Delaware) eliminating the Philadelphia Traffic Court (summary, Senate Fiscal Note) was reported from the House Judiciary Committee and Tabled.

Superior Court: House Bill 323 (Grove-R-York) creating a Commerce Division of the Superior Court was amended and reported from the House Judiciary Committee and Tabled.

Probation Officers: House Bill 470 (Caltagirone-D-Berks) further providing for probation officer authority was amended and reported from the House Judiciary Committee and Tabled.

Senate

Sentencing For False Alarms: Senate Bill 296 (Hughes-D- Philadelphia) relating to sentencing for false alarms (sponsor summary) was amended on the Senate Floor and remains on the Senate Calendar for action.

Superior Court issues new internal operating procedures for wiretaps                                                                                

The Superior Court amended its Internal Operating Procedures regarding wiretaps, 210 Pa. Code §§ 65.51 to 65.78, effective June 10, 2015.  The amendments can be found at 45 Pa. Bull. 5906, http://www.pabulletin.com/secure/data/vol45/45-40/1753.html (dated Oct. 3, 2015).
