Bills moving

Probation Officers: House Bill 470 (Caltagirone-D-Berks) providing additional authority to probation officers was removed from the Table, referred into and out of the House Appropriations Committee and was passed by the House.  A summary and House Fiscal Note are available. The bill now goes to the Senate for action.

CDL License Updates: Senate Bill 925 (Rafferty-R-Montgomery) providing for CDL drivers license updates was reported out of the House Appropriations Committee, passed by the House and now goes to the Senate for a concurrence vote.   A summary and House Fiscal Note are available.

Phishing: House Bill 969 (Neuman-D-Washington) prohibiting certain acts of phishing was passed by the House and now goes to the Senate for action.  A summary and House Fiscal Note are available.

Telephone Solicitation: House Bill 820 (Cox-R-Berks) further providing for penalties for unwanted telephone solicitation call was reported from the House Appropriations Committee and passed by the House.  A summary andHouse Fiscal Note are available.  The bill now goes to the Senate for action.

Public hearing

October 20– Senate Judiciary Committee holds a hearing on proposed reforms to civil system of asset forfeiture– Senate Bill 869 (Folmer-R-Lebanon) (sponsor summary).  Room 8E-B East Wing.  10:30 a.m.
