JUDGE THOMAS E., on June 14, 2012. Beloved husband of Mariann (nee Porter). Dear brother of Bro. Lawrence Dempsey, FSC, Catherine Trainor (Jerry), Joseph Dempsey, the late Francis Dempsey and the late Mary McAndrews. Also sadly missed by 81 nieces, nephews, great nieces and great nephews. Tommy was a Judge in the Philadelphia Court of Common Pleas for over 20 years. Relatives and friends are invited to his Viewing Sunday Eve 7 to 9 P.M. at the BURNS FUNERAL HOME, 9708 Frankford Ave. (S. of Grant Ave.). An additional Viewing will take place on Monday beginning at 9 A.M. at St. Katherine of Siena Church, Frankford Ave. and Primrose Rd. Funeral Mass will follow at 11 A.M. Interment private. In lieu of flowers, donations in Tommy’s memory to the Christian Brothers, Ammendale Development Office, Bro. Kevin Stanton, P. O. Box 1710, Belts-ville, MD 20705-1710 would be appreciated by his family.

  1. I was hospitalized the last couple days, and on trial in a double homicide case the week of 6/11/2012. Therefore, seeing the news of Judge Dempsey’s passing today was disturbing. What a wonderfully pleasant, prudent and fair jurist we had in Judge Dempsey for so very many years, and what a loss to the First judicial District of Pennsylvania! R.I.P. Judge Dempsey!
